games for a lan party?

as per the title, me and a few friends are planning to hold a lan party sometime next month

our min. specs for the lan party would probably be:

6600gt or better
1gb ram or better
athlon xp 2500+ or better

we're currently thinking of these games:

warcraft III(dota map)
UT2004
CS : S
worms world party 😀
CoD2

any other suggestions for games?

Oh yes, forgot to add, the games must not have a steep learning curve so that newbies to some games wouldn't be left behind
 
Get the Alien Swarm mod for UT2004.

BF1942 or BF Vietnam are nice since they both also have Coop.

Do you mean the group is setting up a big LAN party, or it's just you and a few friends? For only a few people I like games with cooperative play.

Zombie Mod and Surf Mod for CS:S
Emulators to play old school console games like Mario Kart 64, Tekken 3, Street fighter 2, Super Smash Bros. etc. These are all LAN playable if you set up a kaillera server.
Jedi Knight
Starcraft
Trackmania United
 
Not to steal your thread, but I could also use suggestions for around 3-4 people (and some of the suggestions might help you). Either coop or competitive, and the games need to be pretty old as someone is running an acer with integrated graphics.
 
DEFINITELY Tribes: Vengeance, it's got a free multiplayer demo and people will definitely have some fun in the vehicles.

Any Tribes fans here?
