Games crash when trying to use Samsung DLP as a monitor

Ok I just installed a new system:
Gigabyte DS3
C2D 6600
EVGA 8800 GTS
Seasonic 550W PSU
Xtrememusic XFI
2 Gig G Skill mem

When I try to load up some games (IE Titan's quest or Everquest 2) when running on my DLP TV they crash - the resolution is set to 1280x720 which should be 720p right? When connected to a typical monitor they work fine.

Heroes of might and magic Dark Messiah runs fine, and there seem to be no other problems.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Make sure those games even work in widescreen format. Also the refresh rate on your tv is probably somewhere around 50hz, which is Slooooowowww. That also could be causing problems. i would change your resolution to something standard format (4:3) in your game settings. you will have to play with black bars on the sides but it works.
I use my 55" Mitsubishi to play BF2 sometimes and it works fine.
