I hadn't played games on this computer since the last reformat, so when I got DSL I downloaded some game demos (max Payne and Splinter Cell) and both of them crashed within 3-5 minutes of being in the game. I wouldn't get an error message, just crash right back to the desktop. I upgraded to the latest Via 4in1 hyperion (sp?) drivers and the problem went away. Then I had to format again and reinstall all the stuff that I had before and got the same problem again. Using the latest nvidia drivers, sound drivers, and motherboard drivers. Even tried turning off 4x and fast writes in the BIOS, no help.
