Games @ CircuitCity for $9.99

Does HL2 come WITH counterstrike still? Or did they tear that out for the sake of money?

My question exactly. Still a good deal without, but I don't see too many good deals including CS Source these days.

Don't think it includes counter strike.

Might be better for some that it's not bundled since they may have the other games already.
 
Judging by the cover no it does not include Counterstrike. GOTY edition included counterstrike, but that was on 5 CD's which was a major hassle to install, CircuitCity edition should be a single DVD.

All editions of HL2 use steam. Steam has improved a good deal since its early days, nothing wrong with it other than you have to connect to the internet once, after that you are able to run it in "offline mode"
 
Just bought HL2. Its updating the game right now; says it will take 3 hours! I have never played counterstrike but maybe i will buy that later on.

I bough the original HL2 box in store when it came out and I know it came with CS:S. That was one of the selling points. You can just download it from steam for free I think.
 
Not for the recent ones, AFAIK. I bought one and there was no CS:S with it. Had to purchase it on steam.

EDIT: forgot to mention, it was the dvd version.
 
I bought a retail box of HL2 about a year ago for $20 and it came with CS:S... so I'm not sure why these don't
 
Just got back from CC and picked up Age of Mythology (including expansion pack) for $4.99. They also had Dark Messiah for $6.57 if you are looking for a FPS with some role playing elements.
 
I got best buy to pricematch this with NO trouble at all.

No cs-source with it... I thought they all came with cs source. sigh... knowing now, I would have dug out a copy that came with it. 🙁
