Games better or as good as CS

I've been really bored and been trying to find a game that was as fun as CS. I've stopped playing for a few months now, but I haven't found a good game to replace it. Do you guys have any suggestions? I've played Civ 3, rollercoster tycoon, wolfenstein, ghost recon demo, and max payne. I was able to play these games for a bit but none had replay value of CS.

Of course none of them have the replay value of CS! CS is the best game to come out for the PC bar none! Alrite alrite, maybe SimCity might have been cool but I don't have a 5.25' floppy drive to load up Simcity. So... What I'm saying is Counter-Strike forever!

Hrm, but something should really be done about those cheaters.

Man...CS was so fun, but too bad I jumped on the bandwagon with all my coworkers (pansyboy and ckkoba) too late. But yeah, my hands, wrists, and joints started hurting. My housemates got mad at me for my speakers always playing: "go go go", "fire in the hole", and "affirmative/roger that". but yeah, I agree...CS is such a fun game, but haven't found anything that compares.

urban terror is pretty awesome.. not as good as cs, but it's different.. if you didn't already know, urban terror is a quake 3 mod... it's fun.. if im' not playing cs, i'm either play that or civ3

I love CS but I also just bought Unreal Gold for $7.99 at EB. It has both Unreal and return to Na Pali. It is keeping me busy when my favorite servers are full. Can't beat the price.

I do like CS as well, even though I am a Quaker... one game I didn't play for more than 15 mins was Max Payne.. crap game...

the only thing I hate about CS and even Q3 is the DAMN CHEATING... SUX @SS!!!!!! :disgust:

Tribes 2? Has good replayability IMHO as you can select from different classes and thereby different roles during a game of CTF. I personally like to play defense by setting up perimeter sensors, booby-trapping the base and then sitting on top of the base and shooting down incoming enemy vehicles. Other options are: sneaking around and sniping, infiltrating the enemy base and whacking their generators, going for the flag, setting up a forward base, etc. I also like that there are a ton of different, driveable vehicles (many of which carry more than one player).

CS can't be beat!!!! Its Free entertainment if you have a copy of Halflife. still playing it even though cheaters are everywhere. <---suggestion get in a good server and stay there. nothing beats a headshot far away with a DE. hehehehhe... DE kicks ass!!!

That's exactly what my gf says. She yells at me all the time to "stop playing that damn 'fire in the hole' game!" She knows quite a few of

Diablo 2

I got so fvcking fed up with CS that I just quit. I couldn't take it anymore. Not only are there THOUSANDS of little kid cheaters, if you start owning cause you rule, people then accuse you of cheating.

Diablo 2 may be hack and slash, but at least you can customize your character and build skills. Since I stopped playing CS, I started playing it and damn, its one helluva game. USEast, level 49 Sorceress. Ownage.


I actually got ticked at Diablo yesterday and turned on CS for the first time in a month. I ended up 17 and 4 at the end of 5 minutes upon which this one dude started bitching. Then the map changed and I left.
