Games are upside down!?!

OK, I don't get it. I've tried a couple of games (Worms Armageddon, Zeus), they install easily, but when I load them everything on the screen is upside down. And sometimes mirrored as well? Any ideas what the cause of this could be?

I've got a T-bird 1.3GHz and a MSI Geforce 2 Pro (Starforce 831). I've got the latest authorized nVidia and 4-in-1 drivers as well.

Theres no problems at all in ordinary applications (Office, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, etc.)

thanks

Just turn your monitor upside down. He.

I'm just kidding. That is some weird sh!t. I have never heard of that before ever.

Oh hell ya got a bump anyway.

I had this exact problem once. I screwed up windows so bad that the only way to retrieve any info was to reinstall overtop of the original windows install. Worked great except all the games played upside down. I just backed everything up and reinstalled though, never tried fixing it.

This has to be the oddest game problem i have ever heard of, and i'd myself like to know the answer, so here is a bump for ya

hrm, I have the same video card and a 1Gig athlon. Never heard of anything like this. Reinstall windows/drivers. Maybe its a bad card?

That is WEIRD.

Does it only happen in say dx8 games? Open GL games?

Make sure you have the newest dx, but I dont think that would cause THIS problem 😉

Try to verify that the correct monitor is selected, and it is using the correct refresh rates for all resolutions. The upside down and mirroring is a lot of times caused by overdriving a lower resolution like 800x600. Some resolution that you don't use and haven't configured correctly yet.
