Games anger me...

I was playing MKDA on PS2 and I got pretty far in arcade mode and I simply couldn't beat this guy. I tried for about 20 mins growing more and more frustrated each time so I just shut it off. Walking over to my computer I was haunted by that stupid saying "The only thing worst than losing is quitting" haunted me which made me even more mad. So I decided to try and take my mind off it by playing some Threewave. I always died within about 30 seconds of the match. Even more pissed I shut that off and started up RtCW. I played that for about 10 mins without able to kill anyone. So I shut that off and now I don't know what to do. Has this ever happened to you? It drains your interest in games instantly when you lose. AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it just means you suck?

😉 All kidding aside, assuming you're talking about Mortal Kombat - at least previously in the series, it's been known to cheat pretty badly once you get up the chain. (However, it usually lightens up after the 3rd time it beats you or something) Anyway, the solution to getting your @$$ kicked in a game is not to go out and play another game (like you did)

I don't even think I like the new Mortal Kombat's fighting. The 2D's were so much better. I don't think Midway can do a good 3D fighter like Techmo or Namco. DOA and Soul Calibur are unparalleled.

either

1) you suck
2) just not your day

if case 2, then stop playing today. usually I play worse when I'm angered, sounds like the same is happening to you.

ATleast your defeat is in the privacy of your own home. Imagine the same humiliating fate in front of gockers who watch you dump quarters after quarters not knowing when to quit. That and you can't simply kick the arcade machine out of fustration.

Come to think of it, I never found out what happened to that guy after he was dragged out back.. 😀

I miss the arcade. Now there is only the movies. The game industry should try and bring back the arcade.

When you start to feel frustrated like that, and just can't seem to kill anyone in RTCW, just walk up to a group of your teammates, and TK all of them. They won't be expecting you to shoot them so they will be sitting ducks. Sure, you will probably get booted off the server, but you'll feel so much better!🙂

Why? I think the only place on earth still making a profit in the arcades is Japan. Every popular arcade hang out has been quite empty for the last few years so it's not surprising you don't see too many new coin-ops titles. With consoles power of today there really is no need. I think they need to take leaps and bounds in terms of some revolutionary graphics and immersion techniques to draw people back.

As much as I'm against TK'ing, that is very theraputic. In most cases when I've had enough gaming for the day; I'll start TK'ing the best player on my team. I'll sometimes even throw knives at them to rob them of their health but not entirely kill them. They are limping and seconds away from deaht and no one's the wiser 😱

Yep. Screw consoles, I think they're really lame. $50 for a game? I'd rather spend $50 in an arcade with cool cabinents and the opportunity to meet new people. Mortal Kombat II was probably my favorite arcade game. I wonder if I could find one on eBay...

Money has always been the catalyst attracting attention. You throw the promise of big cash prizes and people swarm to them. Video games right from the onset has been about making money; this is just another level to it.

That CPL thing is disgusting. I would start a smear campaigne and boycott that thing if it happened to me. Some guy drove down from here (Ontario) to Florida only to find out it's been rescheduled 5 days prior to the event? It takes atleast 2-3 days of aggressive driving just to get down there.

FINISH HIM!

Funniest thing happened to me yesterday while Battlefield 1942... I was playing online with people, and i was just driving in a tank towards a control point that the Axis had (i was Allied).... There was a tiny ramp i went on, the tank went into the air, and landed on 3 of my own TEAM MATES, killing them all. After some yelling, they kicked me off... Cracked me up the whole time. 😀

You're overworked. This happens when you get burned out from a game. Take a couple hours' rest and you should be back to normal. Either that or wait until the next day, as you won't gain anything from playing like crap.
