Games and age

I'm not looking for a particular answer, but it gets me annoyed when adults tell me im too old to play games....even though im only 15 and the average gamer is 24

what is too old to play games?

i am 38 and i bought Bard's Tale for the XBox on saturday. i haven't played any PC games lately except for online poker

when the new age of empires comes out this year, i'll buy 2-3 copies and my family will all play it together

23 and pretty experienced as gamer, own an XBox with XBox Live as well as a decent gaming PC.

At my 27-yo sister's housewarming party, a bunch of guys and girls (50-50 mix) played Top Spin and Madden 2005 for a little bit before heading down to the party room. These are fairly hip, young professionals in varying fields of work. Computer/console games aren't just for geeks anymore.

The average age is now being reported on TV shows as 27. This would be shows like Today, GMA, Dateline, etc. Seems a bit high but who knows what all that includes.

Nobody is 'too old' for games. Games are about enjoyment. Basically by saying that, they are saying "you're too old to enjoy yourself" -- come on, either you enjoy games and you play them, or you do not.

Saying 'you have other responsibilites and do not have time to play games' is a legitimate argument, however 😉

Games aren't just for kids anymore. My ex-gf's dad still plays Ghost Recon religiously and he is well over 50. I plan to be as cool as him when I'm that age. 😎

definatly

I was a huge gamer when I was 14-21, but for the last year or so, I have really trailed off. I used to play Diablo, Diablo 2, Quake 2, Q3A, Counter-Strike, all those big games, like 8 hours a day, and all day long on the weekend. I rarely play a game now, and I couldn't even get all the way through HL2 when I bought it. Games just don't grab my attention like they used to.

Oh, I am 22 now.

I'm 35 and I can't live without my war games like BF:1942 or empire building games. Plus I don't really give a flying f^ck if somebody thinks I am to old to game. If they think being mature is watching Nightline and going to bed at 10:00 p.m. everynight so be it.

most of my friends play xbox live almost every day and they're all either 30 or close to it..have serious careers during the day, play Halo 2 at night...no big deal. It's fun.
