The one that came with a Bellsouth offer (a 2wire 1800HW) chokes every time I try to update server lists in STEAM or with ASE. Apparently there is no real remedy to this problem other than setting outgoing packets in ASE to 7 (rather than the default 93), soooo... I want to get a new DSL router.

Found a deal for a Netgear MR814NA linked in the HD forum. Does anyone have experience with it?

Balt, are you sure there is no firmware update for the DSL router? If not, then the one you posted looks pretty good. Does it have to be wireless?

Hey warcrow!

I've searched 2wire's site as well as the 2wire forum on broadbandreports.com (where I saw other users reporting the same problem). As far as I can tell, I've got the latest version of firmware and software. :-/

And I do need at least 802.11b for the lappy. ;)

Gotcha, ok. Seems like a good pick-up to me but then again, I've never used that particular router. If I were you, I would post this in General Hardware or Networking. :)
