Gamer wants an lcd

I, like many gamers, am hesistant to purchase a lcd to replace my crt. However, I am considering the Viewsonic 912b which boasts a nice 12ms. I have read many reviews and forums and am torn. Does anyone have anything to say about this monitor or have a lcd they would recommend that has 12ms are better?

You know the VP171B-2 has 8ms response time...only a 17" but there you have it.

i like viewsonic LCDs i dont think you can go wrong w/ a 912b monitor.

I have the VP171b and I absolutly love it. Dominates the 710t. it's only $330 at newegg i believe....

There is a big thread about this. Apparently to get 8ms you sacrifice quality, it is only a 6 bit panel. Not worth it to me for less ghosting (I don't see ghosting on my 12/16ms dell)
