Gamer Tag / Profiles

I decided to go out and by a wireless router & wireless adapted for my 360 this weekend. I have everything up and running but... I ran into a profile problem.

My email address begins with jrphoenix@.......... hotmail account.

So I go to use jrphoenix but, it was already in use (I'm assuming by me). Xbox live account will not recognize my email & password even though I reset it.

I setup a new gamertag "Agent Raynor" LOL. Anyway now I have my offline account on my xbox jrphoenix with a gamerscore of 4,800 and agent raynor with 0?

Is there any way to merge these accounts or to migrate my achivements? Has anyone else had issues bringing over a windows live account (read hotmail account)?????

There's no way to merge accounts. But there WAS a way to make your offline profile online. Sounds like you just missed that part unfortunately.

You don't know how to do that do you? I just email MS tech support?? Ughh.

I had a Zune live account but didn't have net access when I started using my 360 . When I did get access I had the same issue and best I could figure Live doesn't appear to be able to merge accounts. I ended up turning the offline account into a completely new live account.

Doing that now. Does anyone know how to delete a profile (with no gamerscore). I have one created that I want to get rid of tied to my email address. Everytime I join live it tries to migrate my data and opens up the same dummy account I created originally? I don't see a delete option.

I'm writing this as I sit on the phone on hold with xbox support.

Go over to the system blade, go down to memory, pick hard drive, go down to gamer profile, pick the one you want to delete and hit A, then it'll give you the option to delete it
