Gamepro trickery!

Modeps

Lifer
Back in college, I had a subscription to Gamepro. That was the only gaming magazine I had ever received at home that I paid for. I've gotten some free subs to other ones, but Gamepro was the only one I'd ever paid for. Welp, about a year ago while living at my condo (3.5 years since college, 4+ since having stopped Gamepro), I started getting it again... out of the blue. I didnt sign up for anything, it just started appearing one day. In September of last year, I bought a house with my wife and moved in... not changing my address on my 'subscription' to gamepro.

I hadn't recieved a copy... until today.

How the heck do they keep finding me? and seeing that I have never paid for this subscription, how do they make money? news stands I guess...

In conclusion, Aliens DO exist, and they work for Gamepro.

PC Gamer sent me mags I never subscribed for. And then BILLED ME when I never asked for them.

Wrote a letter about the mixup to sort it out.

I would be a bit cautious if they kept tracking me like that...who knows what else that can lead to? Probably spam.

Dude they make money by advertising. The more people that get the mag and the more they can charge companies to advertise.

Why are you a dude with a women picture?

Hey champ, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but most of the female avatars belong to guys. Most of the cow avatars belong to guys. Most of the dragon icons belong to guys. etc.

lol, yup

My guess would be that when you do something, like file a change of address with the DMV so you don't get your license invalidated, they find out.
