Sweet. Looks decent. Never played the original. Looking forward to it.

Should play the original first, to fully appreciate the changes. The interface for example is going to get a full overhaul from what i've read.

I've watched enough videos of it to know I would not enjoy going back and playing that version.

I see they kept the old "the first door code is always 451/0451/00451" tradition going? :D

I hate most remakes of 90's games as they're usually done by different developers who can never seem to truly "internalize" the feel of the original without trying to "evolve" it for "the casual audience"... But SS1 is one of those oldies whose gameplay really does require it (no proper mouselook, ugly clunky UI, limited 4:3 resolution support, and nowhere near as "hackable" for modern systems as its Dark-Engine based sequel SS2). If they allow the user to configure the settings (eg, rebindable keys, disable individual post-processing effects (motion blur, depth of field, etc), then I'd probably buy it...

Yeah, me too. Always wanted to play this because of its cult status but the graphics really put me off. This is gonna be good.

It might be fun. I hope they provide an option to tone down that bloom. Good Lord my eyes....

I remember playing the original back in the day and I didn't like it because it was "too 3D."

Lol

The art direction is surprisingly faithful to the original, a nice balance between new and old.

The thing that made the original so amazing was the game-changing way it integrated RPG mechanics into a FPS. Now that it has been over two decades since SS came out, that ground breaking innovation is now old hat. Unless they found some new way to completely revolutionize the genre again, then, well, it will just be your run-of-the-mill FPS/RPG in the SS skin. With that said, I'm interested to see what they do with it.

Oh this is just a remastered System Shock 1 in today's tech not a new game I thought it was System Shock 3. Still looks interesting, never played the 1st game.
