While this certainly could change in the next few months, the GeForceFX 5900 Ultra market is fairly boring as of today. We're seeing no innovation, nothing to drive the market forward, and considering that full, shipping GeForceFX 5900 Ultra cards perform at lower levels in comparison to the Radeon 9800 Pro in every test we threw at them, it's just impossible for us to recommend the GeForceFX 5900 Ultra. If you have a choice between this card and the Radeon 9800 Pro, the decision should be simple. The Radeon 9800 Pro runs cooler, quieter, only takes up one case slot, runs better in every single benchmark we tested with, and to top it all off, is less expensive as well.

I'm not a graphics card expert but why did they run every test with at least 2X anti-alias? Not that it's a bad thing I just would like to see how the Geforce stacks up with no anti-alias cranked on... or do these new cards always have it on at least 2x?

You can run them without, but there really is no point in buying them if you're not going to crank up the eye candy.

because the newer cards should and can handle AA on in every game all the time and it gives better quality for the user to boot.

That article is very sketch and I am not giving it much credit. It goes against pretty much everything firing squad posted about the eVGA 5900 Ultra.

they picked games where neither companies would have thought of to cheat with on their drivers. i thinks its already known that nvidia cheats with the standard demos for q3, ut2k3, and other popular benchmarks.

btw, i already posted this on the VIDEO forum.

All three are popular games, still being played and manage to stress hardware reasonably well so I don't see anything wrong with testing performance under any of those games.
The engine can be made for the Commodore64, and 20 years old... but if it's being played now, does it really matter?

Agreed. The guy who spent $560 on his GFFX 5900 sure made a wise decision
