I don't get to play mohaa as much as I'd like to but when I do I use kb/mouse... Have a friend that wants to get into mohaa and other FPS games (without getting a ps2/xbox) and was wondering if there was a way to play FPS games like mohaa and UT with a controller? I think I need to do key mappings, I'm just not sure exactly what I would need to do .. if its even possible .. will appreciate any help

Sure, I think it's possible to do so... but the question is, why on earth would you want to???

Your aiming will be HORRIBLE when you play FPS with a controller... my friend got MOHAA for PS2, and he had to go refund the game after 1 day becuz the controls totally ruins the gaming...

KB + mouse is the only way to play FPS...

You can use a gamepad with a FPS on the PC but it is pretty hard to play unless you have a very good gamepad (ie. one with dual analog sticks might work).

I have played alot of the consoles with fps games and I must say that the accuracy and speed of a gamepad is horrible compared to any mouse/keyboard combo. I think the closest and best combo outside of traditional kb/mouse must be the Xbox controller. It feels pretty good and you can get pretty fast, but you sacrifice a bit of accuracy.

I have a controller that allows me to map keys to (the MS version, but there's also a good pad by Nostromo called the Speedpad I think) and then I use the mouse to look and shoot.
