Gamepad Question - Need advice

I bought my first gamepad last spring, a wired XBOX 360 controller, and I hardly used the thing until the last 2-3 weeks, and not much at that. (Always played mice/keyboard.)

Well, the GD 'x' button quit on me today. AND, I learned, there's only a 90 day warranty for XBOX accessories from MS.

Not sure if I want to give MS my money for another controller, with a shitty warranty like that.

Is there a better alternative to MS for a gamepad? Can anyone recommend one to me?

Thanks.

I've had my 360 wired controller for about 4 years now, still going strong. Before that, a Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 was my go-to controller. Logitech has always been superb with their warranties for me.

The current iteration of my old Cordless Rumblepad 2 is the F710 which appears to have a 1 year warranty. I know someone who has the F710 and swears by it.

I've had a wireless 360 controller for PC and its wonderful. I'm not sure that a better one can be found.
