Gamepad aims to build up muscle - hope for wimpy gamers!

Playing video games is not normally regarded as a vigorous workout session.

But a new type of gamepad from a US fitness equipment company aims to turn the couch potato gamer stereotype on its head.

The Kilowatt controller by Powergrid is designed to build up muscle while playing a PlayStation 2, Xbox or PC game.

This is the last thing the world needs. People just need to go for a walk or something, they don't need another lameass device that makes it even easier to not move off of the couch. Go to the gym, walk around the block, hell just get off your ass and walk around the house once or twice at least!

I think it's a good idea. We all game, so how is this a BAD idea ? It's not built to reduce fat... it's built to work out / isolate certain muscles while we do something we don't think twice about. Why is it so bad ?

The price is the only hindrance for now.

Great! Now I'll be seeing infomercials in the middle of the night for the Gameflex with Power Rod technology. WTF!? What ever happened to getting your fat, lazy, game playing ass out and doing some exercise. Although, when I think about it, as a kid, my brothers and I were pretty active only when mom got pissed and took away our controllers for our NES or SNES system. Then we got pissed, went outside and played football and beat the crap out of ourselves and kids in the neighborhood.
