Maybe I'm CPU limited, but I don't get anywhere near that performance. It's closer to 45-50FPS than 80.

To be honest, the video of the test segment they used does not look like one of the most demanding sections of the game. Performance is probably different between single and multiplayer as well. And the 2500K was pretty close to the top of the CPU test, so I'd imagine your 3570K is doing fine.

I get a pretty solid 60 FPS playing ladder matches with graphics settings a mix of ultra and the one below ultra.

Also, I thought AMD had closed the performance gap in Wings of Liberty, hopefully they'll have some performance improvements for HOTS soon.

I played through the campaign on a 670 PE and 3570k @ 2560x1440 and I was expecting better performance. I do believe the processor cripples in some area (unbelievable) but overall the game ran pretty good. Probably 30fps in cut scenes (not pre-rendered) and dips only on one map into the 20's, while most of the time I was at capped (62) FPS. That one where you defend a base in water killed me the most. I think all the Zerglings in water just destroyed the processor lol.
