Everything looks like it's in the right place, Kepler included:

Heard this is actually DX11 even though it says DX12 in the options, as MSI Afterburner is working with it. Anyone done any checking into that? Did they mention that in the review?

Yeah looks like DX11 alpha, not DX12. Not worth much at this point beyond knowing the game is at least partially functional.

It's always funny that today, the 290 equaling the 780ti and the 280x almost equaling the 780 is considered "the right place" (not to mention the 290x being faster). I know it has been the norm for quite a while, still funny. The 780ti tpu review

Being on topic, those performance numbers look all right for a game still 3 months away. Anything modern and 200$+ getting 70+ fps at 1080p.

Приоритетным и основным графическим API для Battlefield 1 Alpha является DirectX 11. С релизом ожидается поддержка DirectX 12.

I read that as:
Basic graphics API for Battlefield 1 alpha is DX11. With release DX12 is expected.

Bah. Needs more than 6gb for 1440p. 980ti SLI will have hiccups and skips despite having plenty of GPU power. Seems to be a common theme with NVidia GPU's. Looks like I have to compromise texture quality or spend $1000+ on new Nvidia branded 3D graphics accelerators after only having them 1 year. YAY VIDIA. Funny how AMD's 8GB cards use way less Vram. Like WAY less. That's pretty interesting I think.
Jesus Christ, I hate Nvidia now. I really do. I hate them. I can't buy their products anymore. Can't do it. Too much disgust.

Thing is, there is nothing else to buy at the moment. 1080 is the fastest card on the market. Deal with it :p

There's nothing weird, it's a closed Alpha. Not even Beta yet. :)

DICE is excellent at optimizations, I'm sure BF1 will run great on every architecture.

Relax with that hyperbole. Needs more than 4GiB for AMD at 1440p so what does that mean for Fury? Nothing, it means nothing for either right now because the game is a freaking alpha and three months away... Calm down.

Will be interesting to see the DX12 scores. But it not being native DX12 makes me worry. So far all the games that have had DX12 bolted on haven't been that impressive, at least for me.

Civ 6 is definitely going to be interesting since the GF is a huge Civ fan. If GTX 1070 demolishes her Kepler card, guess I'm getting her an upgrade before myself.

So was his 980 ti not that long ago.

In fact we haven't lived in a time when a Nvidia card wasn't the fastest single GPU card (outside of small multi-week windows) since the Titan dropped. The cards at the top keep changing, but since the new consoles were released if you are embracing PC gaming for the "Master Race" reason (i.e. to get the best of the best) you have been exclusively a Nvidia customer.

You have also dropped like $3+k jumping from one top card to the next when AMD's 290x Titan competitor is within a stones throw of that 980 ti in certain games (not this one in D11), but you always had the best. And there is nothing wrong with that if you have made peace with Nvidia's business model. GPUs are now a niche market and choices have to be made accordingly.

It's looking like this game will work well for everyone in some mode or with reduced settings, which is great.

Mantle was bolted on to bf4 and I saw a massive increase of my minimum fps at my settings. I'm talking about going from sub 60fps to pegged at 120fps in almost every map.

I play at low settings to see better so that put all the burden on my CPU. Still the performance increase in that situation is a revelation.

It shows 44fps minimum on GTX 960, on what I presume are ultra(?) settings. Would it be possible to get a near-smooth 60fps on medium-high settings, with AA using basic FXAA and only SSAO, no HBAO?

Not really, there are many different settings which you can turn off to decrease memory requirements.

Also, beta.

Erm look at FuryX/NV's lower vram offerings, they are getting hammered here and I think at this point even pretending that < 8Gigs is optimal for 4K is laughable.

If you get more than 45fps on CIV games then you are more than fine. The only reason to upgrade would be for lower power or lower fan noise. But if you vsync or manual fps cap the game at 60fps or bellow you will be more than fine.

But i guess a new GPU always feels better ;)

Fury X has 4GB, GTX 980 has 4GB but faster than Fury X ( Minimum FPS for GTX 980 is 29% faster than Max FPS for Fury X) , how can be Vram Issue?

RX 480 with 8GB is same as GTX 980 , so how can be Vram Issue ?

Now that's a very interesting point and I definitely missed that.I am not sure it has to do anything with HBM though considering even 970 is faster and we don't have 290/X in the chart.Anyways it will probably be well optimized before coming out.
