I remember seeing an offer a little while back (think it was gamestop) where you could trade in your gamecube and get $50 towards the Wii. Anything like that still going on anywhere?

If you can even find one to buy you should. Also keep the game cube cause any store that takes trade ins, gives you like 1/10th of the price they sell them at.

imo that would be kind of dumb since the wii can play the GC games. Unless you don't like those games or never want to play them again.

I don't understand what you mean. What I'm asking is if you can get $50 credit towards the purchase of the Wii system by trading in a used gamecube system. My gamecube is on it's last legs and it'd be great to get $50 off towards the Wii if that offer is still going on. As mentioned, the Wii can play GC games.

oh sorry, for some reason i thought you said GC games, not the GC itself.

yeah, if they'll do it, that would be a good idea. whats so hard about calling?
usually they only offer those deals around the time the new system launches.

Actually if they give you 50$ for a gamecube thats a really good deal. I bought a used gamecube from them last summer for 65$ I think, so they're not screwing you that much if you can get that deal.

I remember doing this a few months ago. Pretty good deal, considering they only offered me $20 cash a month before that.

Now that I think about it, I dont think it had to be towards a Wii. Just think it was a time frame you could get more out of your gamecube.
