Seriously, there are so many friggin' awesome games coming out for the gamecube. Resident Evil will probably be the game that makes me drop the 200 bones for this system. There's also Eternal Darkness that looks sweet and Batman: Dark Tomorrow looks pretty cool as well. Then of course there's the grand-daddy of them all:

METROID!!

Cower in fear little black box, for I will hunt you down and make you my b1tch.

Thank you, that is all.

We will now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

Um, I had one and it was pretty boring. (I'm a huge Nintendo fan too) Get an XBox or a PS2. (After E3 anyway) Or see if KMart still has any for cheap

E3 is almost upon us... why not wait till it is over to decide on what console to get?

Because I'm in a good mood I won't have you destroyed for your betrayal and blasphemy.

I haven't seen any current games that float my boat so to speak, but the upcoming games look awesome. I'm a huge Resident Evil fan, I'm a sucker for superhero games (Batman, Spiderman, etc...) and Nintendo's home brewed games so I WILL buy this elusive black box. Oh you can hide little box, but in the end I will have you.

Beware for Cougar is coming.

Batman and Spiderman are multiplatform. Hell SM is on the PC. True, I'll miss games like Zelda, Metroid, and Mario but you're also missing PS2/XBox exclusive games like GT3, FF series, HALO, PGR, JSRF, and Gunvalkyre. (spelling?) I bought the GC the day it came out - had Madden, Wave Rave, Super Monkey Ball, THPS3, SSBM, and Rogue Squadron II and the only one I ever played was Super Monkey Ball - the other ones just bore me to death. Honestly. You might be different but that's just my opinion on it. Nintendo is losing and unless they get on the ball the Gamecube will be the last console they ever make.

What is there to decide? I don't have to buy just one console. I plan on buying a PS2 when it drops in price so I can play Metal Gear Solid 2 and all the other randy games on it (by then all the games I want should be in the bargain bin). I haven't really seen any games on the X-Box that would help justify its purchase so I'll hold out on that beast. No matter what happens though the Gamecube will be the first to drop.

I love Nintendo, and always will. But I really fear that the Gamecube will be a flop, even more so than the N64. IMO, the SNES was the last great console they ever made. Who could argue with the awesome lineup of games that the SNES had? Hell, even with all the consoles out there now, I still play the SNES the most out of them all.

Yeah I know that my superheros aren't exclusive to the gamecube but they'll be cooler on the cube because it comes on a tiny disc ;)

As for PS2/Xbox I never said I don't want to buy them, I'm just going to buy the Cube first.

GT3 - Never been a big fan of the Gran Turismo series.
FF - Don't have the patience anymore for RPG's other than point 'n click adventures (a.k.a. Dungeon Seige)
Halo - not a die hard FPS fan
PGR - Pre-Teen Gay Restling?
JSRF - Played the original on the Dreamcast and while it was cool I just couldn't get into it
GunValkarye - never heard of it.

About the only current game I have the urge to play on the Cube is Rogue Squadron 2, so I'll rent it when I bring home my new baby.

There will be much rejoicing in the land of Cougar when Resident Evil, Metroid, and Zelda are at home with their new daddy.
