Gamecube: NHL 2003 or NHL 2K3?

Going to buy one of these two games, but thought I would get a few opinions first. What do you guys who have played these games think?

I liked EA's graphics over Sega's for some reason. Too bad EA didn't support XBOX Live otherwise I would have bought it.

Are the graphics in the Gamecube version of NHL 2003 still better than NHL 2K3?

NHL 2k3... EA's hockey series has went to garbage.

gameplay wise... it's not even close... Sega blows EA out of the water.

(this is coming from someone who owned every EA hockey game from NHL 94-NHL 2002)

Thanks man, you may have persuaded me over to other side. I have to admit, I absolutley loved NHL 2K2 for dreamcast.

Hitz is good for mindless bashing and craziness. EA is the best for realism IMO, but I think Sega has the best all around gaming experience.

The biggest problem with EA's hockey game is they hardly did anything but update rosters. Its pretty much the same game as 2002

IMO, the gameplay in 2003 has been changed drastically over 2002.. and not in a good way.

EA's NHL 2003 is not quite as realistic as NHL2K3. NHL2003 USED to be the best for realism, but not this year.

If you want a real sim, 2K3 is better. If you want a bit more flash and easier scoring, go for 2003.
