What is the best memory card to buy for the gamecube?? I saw one the other day that has 64 megs on it. Is this more than the Nintendo official ones have?
Any memory card you see will be in megabits, not megabytes. I think the 251 is like 16Mb(2MB) and the 59 is 4Mb(.5MB). I personally use the 251 for big stuff(Madden franchises) and then a 59 to store some of the overflow and smaller files(Madden profiles).Originally posted by: Chadder007
How many megs are the 251 and 59?

Even the 251 Nintendo one is not that great, it uses compression and had a habit of corrupting saved files now and then. I would stick with the Nintendo 59.

i remember some third party companies created some memory cards for the dreamcast that you could hook up to your computer to back up your files, giving you as much space to save as your hard drive could handle. They should develop one for the Gamecube.
edit: actually, they do here. Uses USB instead of crappy parallel the Dreamcast ones used.
