So, I found a copy of Rogue Squadron II for $5 at a gamestop and heard it was pretty good. I already had a gamecube controller but didn't have a gamecube memory card because I figured I could use my SD card. I guess I was wrong...

Anyone know where to get a cheap gamecube memory card? (looking for really cheap)

I would think that most retailers have cleared out their Gamecube stock by now, which largely leaves Craigslist and eBay as your primary options. You could try shops which sell video games as an auxiliary business (e.g. Blockbuster, FYE) or retailers with a low turnaround (Sears, K-Mart, Radio Shack) and hope for a happy convergence of stock and clearance sale.

Gamestops and used game console stores. There is a pretty sizable market for ued/legacy consoles so I'd guess the same stores would have the memory cards. I had maybe 3 of them for my old GC but with my daughter and neice stealing them to use on their Wii's, I seem to be down to one now.

A friend just bitched to me a week ago for having to pay $20 for a new one at Gamestop.

Looks like he could have grabbed one from ebay for cheaper, but didn't want to wait a few days for shipping.

edit: eBay is flooded with 3rd party crap, which we all have our own thoughts about. I stay away from them due to bad experiences. Amazon still carries the official Nintendo ones for $16.

btw, there are some truly great Gamecube games, our favorites are Pikmin 2 and super Smash Brothers Melee.

And Wavebirds are awesome controllers but I think they've gotten expensive too.
