Gamecube component video

I just hooked up my gamecube to my sony HDTV, via component cables.....the screen is all garbled. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Hold B when you start up the gamecube.. i believe this will enable progressive mode.... not sure though

On my TV, with the menu you are supposed to select the input source (s-video vs. component). When I used an s-video cable and plugged it in, the screen was blurry. Turns out that I just had to switch the source with the menu. YMMV.

Actually, the problem was Nintendo doesn't know their colors.....I switched the blue and green cables, so they are now WRONG, and it works.

Maybe it's the TV that's mislabeled? But either way, you're all set now...so have fun.

my friend has component cables to his hdtv from his ps2 and xbox. so nice. 🙂

Anywhere to get component cables for the GC cheaper than directly from Nintendo's site? $30 + shipping is insane.

That's not bad at all.....Monster's component cables are like $60
