Download ROMS from the Internet into a special cartridge and play it on your handheld GameBoy. it even plays color ROMS in color! Thus, this unit will allow you to copy a GB game directly.

Be sure to click "buy now", you cannot click "product details" and buy it from there because the price increases. That is a special prices for subscribers to the newsletter.

I haven't bought the product, I don't know the reliability, so don't ask me :p

<< the roms are illegal, but i doubt the product to put them on the gbc is. >>

yeah, just like its not illegal to buy an mp3 player, but it is to distribute mp3s (ones that you don't own the song to)

I'm thinking about buying this to use on my kids games. They have lost 2 or 3 of the cartridges. If i could back them up that would be great. Does anyone have any comments on this thing?

ya i'd like to 'back up' my games too *triple wink*

anyway theres this advertisement at the bottom for Shockwave One-on-One b-ball. Pretty fun i got 40 in 2 minutes. The trick is to move left right left then get ur shot off at just about the middle.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM EASYBUY2000.COM
Morons who sold me counterfeit Sega Dreamcast controllers and have yet to refund my money.

I have bought from this site a couple times. My friends have too. They are reliable. I bought the MP3 CD player (MPTrip) and PSX game enhancer. This GB PC linker/GB flashrom cart is a good deal. The best deal I've found before was 50 dollars for a linker, and another 50 or so for the flashrom cart. The only thing that sucks is 16Megabit (yes megabit) is pretty small. 16metabits is 2MB, which will hold a medium sized Gameboy Color game. For instance, Pokemon Yellow is 1MB. Pokemon Silver is 2MB. Donkey Kong Country for GBC is 4MB, so you won't be able to use that. Both of the new Zelda games (Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages) are 1MB each, so you can fit both on the cart.

On the other hand, if you're ok with just the old B&W GB games, you can fit a good amount. The original tetris for GB is only 32K. Games like Megaman 4 and Super Mario Land 2 are 500K. The best configuration would probably be something like:

Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - 1MB
Super Mario Land - 64K
Super Mario Land 2 - .5MB
Dr. Mario - 32K
Tetris - 32K
Final Fantasy Adventure - 256K
Castlevania 2 - 128K

Seven games totalling 2MB.

Of course the great thing about something like this is that you can always reburn it with new games (like an MP3 player). So you could transfer Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Pokemon Yellow for Monday at school/work, and Tuesday transfer Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Super Mario Bros DX.

Ok so I'm pretty obsessed with ROMs, hmm maybe I should get this.

BTW there's a Gameboy Advance linker/flashrom cart being sold on some sites now. But it's ~$150.

I'm not familiar with this unit, but I do have the Bung Xchanger which does the same thing... Works great! But mine's got a 64megabit cart. 16 is quite small - don't know if I'd bother.

These things are also cool for people who want to try their hand at programming Game Boy games.

Gargos15:

Could you post or email me links to those sites that are selling the linkers for the GBA? Thanks

I did buy an MP3 CD player from easybuy2000.com and it was quite a good experience, product came fast, worked fine and still working. Can't say it was better than the Expanium, but then again that's just the manufacter's problem.

I think I bought one of these things from them once and recently saw this advertised in their email they send out. The construction was pretty cheap and it was significantly larger than a gameboy cartridge and stuck out the back and top of the unit. The advantage of this was that you could plug your cartridges into it one by one and back them up into one unit. This is all theoretical since it wouldn't ever work for me. I would have to hold it in with one hand and keep shifting it around until the cartridge was lined up just right. Of course there wasn't any way to tell if it was lined up perfectly or not until you tried to turn it on. I ended up sending it back since it was such a hassle. Their return system went pretty well as I remember and I was only out the cost of shipping both ways.

I found a related product that seems like a good buy. They now have GB cartridges that have 30 or over 100 games on one cartridge. Check out this site for more information.
http://www.psxdepot.com/products.html By the way, I have bought from them before and had a good experience.

Yea... since the gameboy advance is backward compatible, can it use this? That would be sweet... also, what about Gamegenie... can I use gamegenie with it?

Yea, I believe it can. But, I don't think you'll be able to fit a GBA game on there. However, they do have a GBA PC Linker, but that is much much more expensive.

NOTE:
Do not buy from there. They are VERY VERY unreliable, sure, they ship that product to you (128 in 1) but the damn thing includes so many bootleg games it isn't even funny. "Pokemon Adventure," isn't even a damn game! :p Check it out...it's fishy.

Josh, I must disagree with you. I have bought items from them at least four times and they have great service. I would recieve the shippments in two days. (they must be in California)
They also have a money back guarantee. They are realiable. As far as the gameboy game is concerned, I have not bought one, but a friend at work bought one for his kid and he loves it.

Erm, I wasn't talking about their service, I was talking about their products. They are bootleg and most of them don't exsist. I can tell you for a fact that no Pokemon game of that name is there.

<< What about this ... 128 games in one cartridge for $29.99 ... sounds like a scam to me >>

erg, come on folks, these are games like missle command, not quake3. like 4kb games. they could give me 1000 missle command games for 30$ and i still wouldnt buy it. just little junk games, like those things you see on tv that they try to get grandmothers to buy for the grandchildren. like 24 games in 1! woopty do. how many frogger clones can they come up with.

Pirate cartridges from Hong Kong. I have a friend in HK who has sent me these before. Not worth your time/money.

Note the item description: "Too many to list, some games are repeats." Well, yeah! Take a closer look at the games listed. You've got:

1 POKEMON ADVENTURE
2 SUPER KICK OFF
3 TOM AND JERRY
4 MEGAMANI
5 COOL BALL
6 BOXXLE
7 TETRIS
8 KOI WA KAKEHIKI
9 MISSILE COMMAND
10 SHANGHAI
11 TESSERAE

(that's 11)

then "New (insert #1-11)
then "(insert #1-11) II"
etc. etc.

11 games, some (if you're lucky) have minor changes, like starting you at a different level or changing your character's color. Think GameShark codes...
