Gameboy Advance supercards?

Lifer
does anyone have experience with these? i just got a GBA Micro for $50 from Amazon and i heard about supercards. i know that ROMs are probably taboo here, but what about emulators for old, discontinued systems? first, do they emulate well on the GBA and secondly, are they ok to talk about here?

if not, can someone direct me to a forum/site that has good information?

I have a supercard SD, works pretty well. There's only a few games it truley won't play, but a lot of the time, you just get a ****** rom or something that will convert correctly, but still doesn't play. Supercard.cn is the main site, but it kind of sucks. Just google it for everything else.

i am interested in the supercard for the NDS. anyone have good sites for more info besides the crappy supercard.cn site, please let me know in pm. thanks!

do you mean GBA games or emulated games? emulating SNES on my GBA would be so cool 😀

supercard works for nds almost perfectly. ahem.... that's pretty much it, the initial investment is high.

The GBA movie player is great for emulating NES and classic GB games. You can buy one of these for les than $25. Plus you can use it to watch movies.

a mini-sd supercard will fit the micro i think b/c the mini sd supercards are normal gba game sizes

very cool, thanks tvbi.

can you give some comments on how you like your flashcard? can you do emulation on it? how is the NES, SNES, etc emulation?

check out those "hot links" on the right side of that site. I use PocketNES for NES and almost all roms run fine ..no experience with SNES

yeah it's pretty new and ppl seem to like it even though it's still too big for the NDS Lite. I think i'll get a mini-sd supercard for my nds lite though. the normal supercard sticks out way too much on the ds lite

albis, have you had any experience emulating on the GBA?

so, it's concluded that the mini-SD version seats flush in the GBA Micro?

I run an NES emulator on mine, works great. There's also an SNES emulator that works with a limited number of games, a Gameboy emulator, and a bunch of emulators for more obscure systems. But the NES one is the easiest that I've found.

I'd like to find a SNES emulator for my NDS since it has 6 buttons.

cool.

link to the SNES emulator? is the SNES emulator still in development? i.e. is there a chance it might get better?

http://www.snesadvance.org/

I guess it's still in development... but I think lacking two buttons will hinder the ability to play many games. It'd be great if someone wrote one for the NDS to take advantage of the faster hardware and extra buttons.

Gameboy
PocketNES

The NES one is great since NES games are only ~100kb.
