I have only been playing games on PC's since 2007. I mostly played all the Half Life and Stalker games. I also played Oblivion. For game guidance I skipped guides and used walkthroughs on YouTube. For all the games I played the walkthroughs on YouTube were around 30 segments long.
Then I tried playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and suddenly the vids were over 70 in number. I notice this is common for the console games. I figure its because of their chatty nature. In Stalker no characters say much (aside for the random insult). With KOTOR all of sudden I was having lengthy meetings all the time.
Is this common with console games? Do 70+ walkthrough episodes mean games take 2x as long to finish or is there just more material to listen to along the way? I just started Dragon Age Origins and noticed the walkthroughs are long for this game as well - and the game is chatty. Should I just get used to chatty games?
