your infinate and infallible football wisdom shows its glory yet again

Not nearly as good as your INFINITE knowledge in regards to spelling.

Wow I'm impressived with Chicago's offense. They're damn good! I think Seattle's offense left their defense on the field way too much though...that was the problem. Hasselbeck forced way too many throws, misfired, and the recievers dropped too many balls.

Thank god Seattle has a bye next week...they'll get things straightened out. They were 2-2 last year, so at least they're 3-1 this year.

By the way. I FREAKING STARTED AN OFFICIAL SEATTLE @ CHICAGO THREAD EARLIER. This should be locked. :)

Good game bears, injuries aside, the hawks played awful and the bears stepped up.

I cant wait to see them again in the post season. I may have to fly out there to see the game.

How was the game live? I was talking to a friend about how boring baseball is to watch and he countered by saying football wasn't all action because they spend five minutes in the huddle. Sounded strange, as I don't think that's the case. How was the action?

I'm amazed at how many people that THINK they know football think the Hawks are as good as they are billed to be. Look at last year:

1 - Loss @ JAX 14-26, they were predicted to win this game, didn't work out
2 - Win vs. ATL 21-18, barely won, at home, vs. a team that wasn't very good last year
3 - Win vs. ARI 37-12, duh
4 - Loss @ WAS 17-20, pathetic game vs. Washington's worthless offense
5 - Win @ STL 37-31, BARELY won over a pathetic STL team
6 - Win vs. HOU 42-10, duh
7 - Win vs. DAL 13-10, terrible performance vs. a team that wasn't very good last year AT HOME no less
9 - Win @ ARI 33-19, duh
10 - Win vs. STL 31-16, duh
11 - Win @ SF 27-25, pathetic
12 - Win vs. NYG 24-21, the Giants weren't a very fearsome team last year, and they BARELY beat them at home
13 - Win @ PHI 42-0, Philly was in total meltdown, McNabb was out, and yet they got credit for being some amazing team
14 - Win vs. SF 41-3, awful team
15 - Win @ TEN 24-21, sorry team last year, and they barely eeked out a win
16 - Win vs. IND 28-13, Colts starters were sitting, no-brainer
17 - Loss @ GB, Seattle's starters were sitting, no big deal

All I'm saying is, where was their statement game last year that made them such a darling? Their home games are like Chiefs and PAckers home games - HUGE advantages. Their stadium is LOUD, and it really turns things on their favor. I want to see just one good road win. Don't tell me the Philly game was it because if you watched the game, Philly's players had completely packed it in. They lost to Jacksonville and Washington (and we saw how bad Wash's offense was last year in the playoffs), which were their only tough road games, both winnable.

I'll give them some credit: they win the games they're supposed to win. Some teams can't say that, no doubt, and they deserve some credit for that. But in games with good teams or equal teams, if they're on the road, expect a loss. This was a no-brainer pick this week for the Bears in my mind.

Might I also add, look at this year. Two games on the road: one they BARELY edged out against a pathetic Lions team (9-6) and another they of course lost. But does anyone question the Hawks' ability to win on the road? Nope. They just say how well Chicago played. I'm not saying Chicago didn't play well, just that it should have been expected.

Game was great in person. People around us were friendly and the atmosphere was unbelievable! Nothing like watching everyone around us harrass the Seahawks fans all game.

Night game atmosphere made it unreal. As to your question, on each offensive down a team is allowed 35 second game clock, so they can't just sit and wait unless there is an official time out, quarter ends, injury timeout, or some other things that don't happen all the time.

I felt the game moved very fast and it was over before I even knew it!
