Alright, I've installed my GTXP in my Win2k machine with the latest drivers from the Hercules site. Everything seems to be working fine except for one thing: I can't seem to pull any sound off of the CD-ROM that's connected to the Aux2-in line. I can only get sound from the drive that's plugged into CDROM-in.
I have a Plextor CD-RW and a Toshiba DVD-ROM, each outfitted with the same exact audio cables. Regardless of which one is plugged into Aux2-in, I can't get any sound from the drive. It definitely isn't the cables or the drives as they'll work if plugged into CDROM-in.
Now, this is the first system I've ever built, so I'm not quite sure what the Aux2-in line is for. My thinking is that it's supposed to be used for any secondary device off of which I wish to pull audio, so it should be able to get sound from a CD-ROM, right?
Can anybody help me out with this? I want to know if it's a defective card or not so that I can quickly get it exchanged.
Thanks!
