Game Temps

I downloaded the demo of Hitman and after playing it for a few minutes my temp alarm went off at 50C. That's not a bad temp, but since my XP2800 usually runs in the high 30's I set it at 50 as an early warning.

I've run several games to the max, as well as SETI for hours, and I've never seen a temp above 45C. Has anyone else noticed an unusually high temp with this or any other game? COD, UT4, FarCry, none of them ever drive the temps over 45C. The case temp was in the high 20's.

Probably a hot day. Ambient tempretures were high. Plus most processors are only in trouble at 70-80 degrees celsius.

Yah, 50C is nothing to get worried about unless you're a nut who HAS to keep his temps down :) . But in all honesty, these processors are built to run at high temps and 50C is a cake walk for Athlons. Only get really concerned if it hits mid 60's or 70's.

dont worry, my frend had an xp1700 running near the 60s on hot days. turned out the crappy mount on his volcano 6 was giving away and his heatsink was only sitting on his chip halfway. anyways, 50 is nothing to worry about
