For a while now I haven't been able to really play any of the latest games, but I plan on buying a decent video card to hold me over until I can afford a new rig. Right now it's looking to be a 7900GS if I can get it for the price I want. If not, I'll probably bump it up to an X1950Pro. I cannot really afford anything higher than that right now though.

So, what games would you guys suggest? So far I have S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Prey, Oblivion, and F.E.A.R. in mind. Oblivion is definitely first on my list.
 
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is the best FPS (with "rpg elements") ever made, IMO. The main rival being Deus Ex. VTM:B uses the HL2 engine and is available on STEAM. I would strongly suggest installing the latest community patch after the official patch, as the game is buggy without it.

 
Hitman: Blood Money if you haven't played it yet. It looks great and when it comes to gameplay the game is unmatched with regards to the stealth genre.
