Game servers on Wireless Network/Broadband?

hey guys, i just got broadband and a wireless network (w/ switch/router installed) and i was wondering what settings i needed on the router so that i wouldnt have any trouble hosting games or joining for games like UT, HL, CS, QIII, etc... are there any generic things that I need to change/configure to prevent problems?

You may have to open up certain port numbers or put your server on the DMZ (demilitarized zone) for full port access. Different games use different ports so you'll have to check which ports you have to open. Many home routers are automatically configured for certain games. Try it out, then fix things where there's a problem.
