What I am looking for is a new game for me that has an Active multi player community and something I can get hooked on, In all the games I played I just jumped into Mutli Player and never really played much of single player.

Mech warrior
UT2004
CS:S

I also played WoW for a long time but way to addicting lol. and not looking for a monthly fee thing.

Something similar?

I am looking at steam and they got all these deals..

13.50 can get me
Unreal 2: The Awakening,
Unreal Tournament 3 Black,
Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition,
Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition,
Unreal Gold

But I dont know if I should buy that. I am not looking to spend that much over 40 bucks righ now.

Any suggestions?

I played the Left For Dead 2 Demo, but it did not interest me long enough.

Get it. Believe me, you will get hooked on the game. Other than UT2004 it's one of the few MP FPS games that I play on a regular basis.

$15, give me a break. TF2 is possibly the best online fps game to come out in the past 5 or so years. Its easily worth $50.

I HIGHLY recommend the Unreal pack. It has all the Unreal games you could ever want to play for a measly 13 bucks. That such a good freaking deal it makes me wish I didnt already own all of those games.

TF2 is worth it, hopefully Valve stop trying to make the game more complicated with each patch. TF2 on release was brilliant in it's simplicity and playability. I mean seriously, crafting? Fuck that shit. It's still great fun, hope it stays that way.

The Thing with that is, I already have 04 and the online community on that is preatty small now, yes a bit still up but I played that game alot in the past its still fun but, now lots of the custom maps I loved playing on aren't up any more. Mostly Demo servers are up.

And the UT3 I played the demo and the game play was a lot different, and I hear the online community in that game sucks now as well? Is that true? If not then I might just get it then.

So should I get the Garrys mod or not?

I see it some type of physics?

Is it something only when I host a server or something?

Gary's mod has nothing to do with the original game. It's basically a dick-around mod, although I don't know how much it has changed since it stopped being free. I never saw the appeal in it personally and wouldn't waste my money.

One recommendation I give to all newcomers is to pick a class and stick with it for a few rounds so you can get used to how that class plays. Helps a lot more than a lot of class jumping.

^ I still dont really get the game much. I played as an engineer one level I got what he did pretty cool. I played the same level many times so far, sites A B C and you got to protect or try to take them over..ect

I got to explore the other types of games
