Game profiles

I have 4xAA and 8xAF set in NV control panel, my question is when I play a game like HL2 that has a game profile, does the game profile settings automatically overide my 4xAA and 8xAF when I load and play the game. Let me know if I dont make sense

Yes, if a game such as Half-life2 has a custom profile, it will automatically override the global profile and in-games settings (where applicable - you can enable or disable most profile options or set some to application controlled).

If a game does not have a custom profile it will use the settings in the global profile instead

This is by design and is precisely how profiles are designed to work.

You can remove profiles you do not want, even "special" profiles such as for splinter cell (that prevent AA from being used for instance).

The best profile management tool is nHancer - www.nhancer.com The nHancer website also has a brilliant help/tutorial section on most profile options.
