Hey I was just wondering if the game port is hot swappable. I want to plug in my old Sidewinder game pad, but I can't turn off my computer right now to do it. If it is not, I have another idea. On the end of the cable for my Logitech joystick, there is what looks like a gameport to usb adapter. It is just a female game port connection on one end, and a male usb connector on the other. Would this work?

Yeah, that should work.... I don't think gameports are hot swappable, they're from the days of computers that actually turned off.

Hmm... Plugging it into the front usb ports caused a message saying that 'a usb device connected to the system has malfunctioned' or something like that. Plugging into the rear usb ports caused just an 'unknown device' error. Maybe with the right driver... Guess I'll keep messing around with it.
