Game port problem

I just upgraded to an ABIT NF7/AMD XP2600+M. My sound card is a Soundblaster PCI512. In device manager the game port has a yellow circle/question mark on it. Says it can't find enough resources. It wants to use the ranges 0200-0207, 0208-020F, 0218-021F, or 0210-0217. When I try manually assigning an I/O range my computer tells me none of these ranges are available but checking resources on everything in device manager doesn't show any of these ranges in use. This was never a problem with my old MSI 694T/Cel 1300. Anybody got any good ideas on how to overcome this? I tried a gameport to usb adapter but it wouldn't work with my Sidewinder stick.
Thanks
Bill

Found out it's a problem with Nvidia based boards and only a couple of cards will work.
