Game of thrones type intro for a work project

slag

Lifer
A colleague and friend of mine is trying to recreate a game of thrones type intro for a class final she is presenting. She and I have no clue on how to do the pan over the buildings/etc like the game of thrones does for an intro. Originally she was going to use cardboard boxes with stuff drawn on them, but thankfully decided it would be too horrible looking. Then she thought she could do a google earth, zoom in and fly along a path type thing, but doesn't know how to make that work.
Any suggestions, ideas, on how to do something similar to game of thrones intro that doesn't take a whole lot of video editing? She's ok with movie maker.

She wants to use local buildings and will put the names of the other people who are in the class on them.

Youtube has lots of video on how to use google earth record tour. You can cut after you get your desired footage

YouTube video and google images. Why create your own when you can just bloody infringe on others work?

Hey... I'm just trying to get her to do something original. Game Of Thrones office parodies are getting old, as are Walking Dead and Breaking Bad parodies.

Maybe she should do something classic and do a Happy Days intro theme 🙂
