Wait till episode 209, Blackwater. It's going to have lots of action.

Follows the book. However the book I think was more boring since there was a lot of Brienne/Catelyn. However, the last 2 episodes should be very good.
There's going to be more Brienne and Catelyn in season 2, than there was in book 2. They moved that whole plot line ahead.

Nearly finished book 5 last night. Just the epilogue to go. ~5000 pages later what did I get out of it all? Not really sure :-/

The right to keep you fingers crossed with the rest of us the GRRM doesnt die before the next 2 books are finished. Come on, 2000 more pages! BTW I dont really think there will be an "ending", just life going on.

Not sure if serious, but I think Season 2 surpasses Season 1 so far, and that there is equally enough if not more action than last season. I mean the war didn't even begin until more than halfway through last year, and I hated the Dothraki stuff so I'm glad that side of things is pretty much over now.

If you are thinker, Season 2 is definitely better. Many of the lowbrow just want sex and action...

If we're lucky. The way the last couple of books have gone 2017 is just as likely as 2015.

Supposedly George R.R. Martin had a particularly hard time sorting out the plotting of book 5.

Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for book six. A lot seems to be happening in lately in the eastern continent where Daenerys and a lot of other characters end up.

Book 6 just needs to start with an opening where about 20 or so of major players suddenly and unexpectedly die and we are left with maybe 10 or so points of view left.

Did you finish book 5 yet?

Cause it looks like (Major Possible Spoilers from speculation about book 6)
Jorah Mormont, Victarion, and Sir Barristan Selmy could end up in a mexican stand off so to speak

I can see a couple of possible situations like that up north and closer to King's Landing.

Idk what to tell you. I've streamed got twice. Both times it looked fine and functioned fine. Even when tethered to my phone (4g) or on the shitty hotel wireless

It was fine last week, but I didn't watch it during the actual airing. Although, when I say "fine", I just mean it didn't randomly pause.

Dude, your shitty internet connection is no fault of HBO.

You really need to drop the "Theon-ish" attitude. It's rather grating.

I've already stated that my Internet connection has shown no signs of having problems. It did months ago before I replaced my Comcast-provided modem with a brand new (i.e. not abused) Surfboard 6121. It's kind of hard to find something that can max out my connection and provide files that are large enough to be significant, but I do recall usually getting between 2.5MB/s and 3MB/s on Steam. I can usually get files from Microsoft, nVidia, AMD and Intel at around 3-4MB/s (depends on the boost from my connection); however, they're rarely over 200-300MB.

Given the quality that I see with HBO Go through the browser, there's no way the actual overall download can be any larger than 600-700MB. The quality is about comparable to a scene SD release, which is typically 700MB for an hour show.

In short, trust me... my Internet connection is typically more than capable, and shows no signs of having problems.

You stated it works fine when you are viewing solely, yet have issues when others are sharing the stream.

That is your connection bro, not HBO's fault.

Interesting you are getting 4MB/s download speeds though from a major site 'regularly'. I find that very suspect.

I have Fios 35/35 and no problems to speak of except with the HBOGO site. It's rare I can watch an entire episode or movie from the site without it pausing/freezing, at which point I have to press play again and guess where it left off because it doesn't save it.

Less books discussion and more show discussion. Why are we talking about book 6?

And I really enjoyed the last episode. I'm also loving the soundtrack of this season.

I agree, this thread is about the HBO televised series.

If you want to discuss what happened in book #94, start another thread so we don't have to scroll through countless blacked out posts.

The last episodes had interesting changes but they risk making Jon look like a moron compared to how the events played out in the book.
