You know that annoying feeling of anticipation waiting for next week so you can get a new episode? Multiply that by three. That's what you did to yourself. My nephew was telling me he watched all the leaked episodes and I asked him how he felt about having to wait a month for a new episode... "Oh, shit, I hadn't thought of that." Smooth.

My nephew did it too. :(

Who would've guessed that Jon Snow's father would end up being Darth Vader?

Valarian steel vs a light saber? Round 1.. FIGHT!

but King Harry Potter would not have approved.
He would have gone to Gandalf on the Enterprise for advise.

btw- if Valarian steel can shatter castle forge swords (ie: Vale knights guarding Littlefinger), then how did Ned Stark not shatter Jamies sword when they fought in Season 1?

and Ned's was a Greatsword, not a longsword like Brianne's.
much more powerful

Brienne is fucking STRONG. Especially when the adrenaline is pumping and she's in full beast mode.

Rewatching...

During the election scene, it seemed Jon didn't vote. He might have, but it showed everyone getting up and voting, then him staying where he was contemplating the situation. The other guy who only got a few votes smiled when Jon won, was he trying to steal a few votes to help Jon?

doubt it. He was already one of the candidates prior to voting. Jon, as far as I understand, only became a candidate that moment, when the fatman nominated him, no?

before their buddies gave the speeches for those two (and before the fatman chimed in), the blind dude said that it was square peg for jerkface and triangle peg for old dude. No mention of a 3rd candidate.

I thought it would have added some interesting tension if the tie-breaker blind guy put his hand over asshole guy's stack and dropped Jon's chip on the wrong stack. Then, blindly felt the stacks and made the correction.

physics?

could just be that Jamie Lannister is a far more skilled swordsman than Random RedShirt guarding Littlefinger, and thus, perhaps purposefully held his sword at such an angle to avoid getting his sword shattered (ie: deflecting blows instead of taking them full-on)

id have to rematch but I don't think Ned fought Jamie with Ice. Ice was HUGE and mostly used for beheading people at that point. think he carried a normal sword on a day to day

"Ice is a greatsword, as wide across as a man's hand and taller than an adolescent Robb Stark. Its Valyrian steel blade has a dark and smokey appearance"

Yeah. It had enough material to melt and form into two swords...one of which is now carried by Brienne.

What happened to Joffrey's sword ("heart eater?") after he was murdered?

"widow's wail"

afaik, at least based on the books, it was passed down to Tommen after Joffrey's death. hasn't really been mentioned or seen since the Purple Wedding, though.

Ah, yes. Was "Heart Eater" one of the suggestions when he was naming it? ...or was that the name of his previous sword?

[edit]
Yeah. Hearteater was his previous sword. No idea who has that one now. Did he have Hearteater while Robert Baratheon was still alive? I'm guessing it was inherited.

Yep. Interested to see what happened with Zombie Mountain!

KT

I just had this thought:

what does that maester dude want with dwarf heads? Is he going to graft them to the Mountain's gaping spear wound, and create a monstrous, multiheaded Man-thing?

My guess: He's going to make a dwarf-icide poison or dwarf repellent spray.

That sounds pretty boss. Batman could use some of that to enhance his arsenal.
