Game not recongnizing up and down pad

When trying to set my configs for Quake 3 and other first person shooter games my ps/2 keyboard doesn't recognize my up and down and left and right keys but says they are aux32 is some games or shift in others is it a problem with my motherboard?

Try turning on/off Num Lock.
