Game Installation Directory Hidden?

I've noticed is that right clicking a (newer) games shortcut no longer allow you to open its propertys, go into the shortcut tab, and allow you to select "Open File Location" to open a dialog menu as to where the game is installed. The only option now is to open this "Windows Game Menu" which has absolutely no option to allow me to see where the game is installed at.

I have TBs and TBs of data and I'd like to clean out this system by simply right clicking on all these shortcuts and finding targets rather than manually looking each installation up one by one because not every game installed in its default path.

"Find Target Location" when right clicking a file takes me to the same "Game menu" interface.

Do you mean the "Properties" option is no longer there, and instead you only have "Windows Game Menu"? In the game explorer, right click the shortcut, choose "Customize", click "Edit" on the first option "Play (Play)", and it should open the shortcut properties. This is in Vista. I think I misread your question at first, and that's the only solution I could come up with since even sites with discussion of the windows game explorer seems to be blocked on my work machine.

In windows vista, you could actually find the install location from the shortcut in the windows game menu, but for some reason they took that away in Windows 7.

For the most part, you just have to manually find the location.

Since you manually installed them to a different path, why can't you remember where you installed them? Or is there some other unexplainable reason why they didn't install in their default path?

I think he means its not just in program files. Like for instance World of Warcraft installs to Users - Public - Games instead of program files.

Why do you need to find the installation folders to tidy up your HDD's? You should be using the uninstall menu anyway. Honestly some people just look for things to moan about.

I highly doubt he's just looking for something to moan about.
Obviously he has a reason for needing, or wanting to do this, what those are, I don't know. But obviously HE HAS A REASON and is frustrated that he can't simply goto the properties of the shortcut anymore.

Is there a SINGLE thread were you don't bitch and moan? Everything that you ever post is negative.
