Game Cube games for my kid sister! (A non console gamer needs advice)

My kid sister's (11 years) B day is coming up and i am thinking of getting her a GC with couple of games. But i dont play console games much so i was wondering if anyone here could recommend some good games? Also a pointer to some good deal for GC would be much appreciated

EDIT: Just found this. So it seems i would need to purchase a whole bunch of 'accessories' in order to allow save game and two players. Could some one more experienced tell me what accessories i need as well? (btw wth is a RF Modulator? sound something out of startrek )

the RF modulator is the thing that lets the Gamecube connect thgouhg a normal wall cable... instead of the red white and yellow inputs.. decreses visual quality but if thats the only way to set it up then so be it, depends on what kind of tv/vcr system you have

I recently bought my sister a gamecube for her birthday, and a copy of Pikmin, a cute strategy game. Very good RTS game. Another game should be good is Super Monkey Ball, superb party game!

One game i am pretty much sold on is Super Mario Sunshine and the other one could be this Pikmin. Is there a review for that game?

EDIT: Also what kind of game is Legend of Zelda? and when is that expected out?

Super Mario Sunshine and Pikmin would be good choices. Super Mario comes out at the end of August. Zelda looks like it's going to be too "cartoony" for most people's tastes and it won't be out til late. The two games suggested should be good choices for a younger pre-teen age and they're either out or should be soon.
