Hello,

this question is basically about what buttons i will need:

I'm looking for a game controller that will let me play gamecube, xbox, playstation 1 & 2, nintendo, sega

this is for my emulator pc box.

i really like this one but i am concerned that i might not be able to play gamecube games.

will i be able to play game cube games with it? or is it lacking buttons for correct game play

game controller

ps i can't think of when i would need the analog other than racing.

I would just get the xbox 360 controller, ive had no problems with it. You get used to playing sonic 2 with an analog stick.

The Xbox 360 controller is good if you plan on staying on mostly 3D games and games that don't use the D-Pad much (like Mario 2D platformers, etc) because the 360's D-Pad SUCKS, I mean, Microsoft should be fined for putting such a useless d-pad, they might as well have skipped the whole thing.

If you are going to be using a little more of d-pad then get a DualShock 2 and a PS2-PC adapter or a Logitech Rumblepad, both are pretty great.

You'll NEED analogs for N64 games and some PS1 games and forget about any Dreamcast, Cube, Xbox and PS2 games without an analog, seriously man, have you ever played those consoles? You can't without an analog, horrible choice you did there unless you plan to stay to play nothing more than SNES emulators and lowers.

I have a cordless rumblepad 2. Haven't tested it with emulators, but it shouldn't have a problem with them. It has both an old school xy axis controller as well as an analog stick. While Logitech's mice and keyboards have gone down the shitter in terms of build quality, this controller is solid.

For me the original XBOX's "bulky" controller works best, it has a Sega Genesis'-ish layout to it, the six buttons are facing you, resembling an arcade pad, so it's awesome for fighting games, racing games and anything else you throw at it. When the revised version came out I thought to myself "what the hell is wrong with everyone?", seriously, tiny hands much? Anyways...
