So ya Im having a hard time picking an MMO to stick to. Ive tried Dungeons and Dragons Online this weekend and I also tried Guild Wars: Factions PvP this weekend. I didnt get much out of Guild Wars because its PvP. Anyways Im looking into the following games and I would appreciate if the people that have tried and played the games would gve me their honest opinion

Dungeons & Dragons Online
Guild Wars
World of Warcraft
Lineage 2

Thanks

From what i have read, D&D online is a guild wars like game with a monthly fee.
Guild Wars is ok if you just want to PvP all day.
WoW has improved a good deal in the last several patches. It is still not as fun as prehonor system or before they put civilians in, no more city raids :(
I have never played Lineage 2.

WoW is alright if you can't stand pvp (superb if you enjoy it) because there are restricted servers that allow pvp only in consensual dueling and battlegrounds. That said, even on normal ruleset servers there's still a chance you could flag yourself for pvp for 5 mins accidentally. Look it up here.

Lineage 2 is a supergrindfest. It's a pretty game, but remarkably lifeless. It kept us interested for a month or so before it got stale and repetitive (and they wanted money every month ;))

Guild Wars is garbage, imo. Very limited item variety, blah blah. Not impressed at all.

I don't think anyone will disagree if I said that WoW is by far the best mmo out today for those who enjoy slaughtering human controlled characters

We played EQ years ago and it was a fun game, might be worth looking at. It's certainly superior to EQ2.

DDO isn't out yet. Too much instancing
GW sucks.
Lineage 2 is a grindfest
WoW is awesome until you hit level 60 unless you like grinding PVP or grinding the same instances several hundred times.

I picked up WoW not all that long ago, it's been great. Aside from doing the quests and general environment stuff, one of the best times of the game is PVPing, and it especially helps if you're in a really organized guild, where you've got people that you can do instances with, and raids etc...

Also there's an expansion coming out to WoW, although it hasn't been announced when, but it'll add two new races and raises the level cap to 70 among other things.
