Went my local Wal-Mart (South Florida) to check on the NeoGeo Pocket deal posted earlier (no-go unfortunately), but while browsing the glass cases, there were a few Game Boy Cameras marked down on clearance to $9.94 Also, if you get this, pop over to Buy.com to get the Game Boy Printer for $12.95 http://www.us.buy.com/games/stores/gameboy/product.asp?Sku=50009271.

These things are actually pretty fun. I'd gotten one for my sister and didn't think a B&W camera with a thermal printer would be entertaining until I'd tried it. You can "edit" pictures, save them, and print them on sticker paper if you have the printer. Previously I'd paid $60 for the camera, printer and 3 extra rolls of paper.

There are plans on Game Boy technical sites to interface these in your parallel port. I might pick up 2 and try it! Also, with parallel, you get 10 colors out of the CCD instead of 4.

CRAP! CRAP CRAP CRAP!:) heh heh, sorry...anyhoo i haven't had much luck at the philly wal-marts recently with the video-game clearances. No go on the NeoGeo Pocket (only the Warrington store had the units, and they were $99.99), and again no-go on this Game Boy Camera:-( (am i really stupid and did i miss them...or are they really out...come on there have to be some fellow Philly freaks on andantech)

However, i did pick up a nice little tidbit at the Delaware Ave Walmart...they had APC UPSes on the clearance rack! WOO HOO! I picked up 2 Back-UPS 500 for $40 (yesh $40) each, and 3 Back-UPS Office 280s for $20 each! Anyhoo like the cheap-college student i am, i busted my butt over to Warrington and showed them my receipt from Delaware Ave...and well cleaned out the Warrington store too...even though the units were clearance priced to $130 and $70 respectively the manager after calling the Delaware Ave store agreed to hook me up! Woo hoo...

Anyhoo i will post up a scan of my receipts at work tomorrow-and wish you all good luck:)

You're welcome:) I just got around to playing with the camera games - like the one where you snap your picture four times and it rotates your face(s) on a juggler. Simple, but amusing and clever. It's amazing Nintendo crammed all this stuff into a Game Boy cartridge.
