GAMDIAS GKB3000BL Hermes 7 Color Spectrum Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

#291799629835

Newegg on ebay

$44.99 FS

Pretty cheap for a mechanical board. Clone "blue" switches.

I ordered a few, we'll see if they're garbage. I was a buckling-spring user, so I know what I really good keyboard feels like.

It's also listed at Newegg, for $89.99, but sold out.

Edit: To disable all of the lighting "effects", and just have a backlit keyboard, hit FN+END.

I'm so tempted to buy one of these for my son.

I'm too used to my MS Ergo to go back to a "normal" keyboard, even for mechanical, but I see the benefits in these.

They have good reviews on NewEgg and Amazon.

FWIW I payed $60 for my Logitech G710 with blues. A quick search on slickdeals shows they haven't been that price since the holidays though.

There is a smaller mechanical keyboard on SD's front page today for $30 if you want to check it out.

Thanks. Tempting, as I've got prime... but my son has gotten used to the LED lighting on his current keyboard. I'd probably go for the Gamdias for the lighting and extra keys for the extra few bucks.

I'd jump on this, can never have enough mechanical keyboards. But blue switches, the clicking gets annoying for me after awhile.

I just got mine. I've got mixed feelings about it. I find myself typing faster, which is good. It's "clicky" like a mechanical keyboard. That's about where the similarity ends with my IBM Buckling-spring keyboards. It "glows" too. Each row is a different color. I've read in one of the Newegg reviews that the colors are fixed, and not fully-programmable RGB. I neglected to notice if there's software that I can download, or a CD included, or whatever to control the keyboard's special features.

For the $45 shipped I spent on these, I think that I got my money's worth, but I don't think that I would be as happy with my purchase, had I paid the full $90 that Newegg is asking on their main site.

Yeah, I pulled the trigger, my youngest is hoping to get his first job (very likely to get it, favorable interview, etc, etc...) and I figured it would be a decent reward.

We'll see when it comes in, but apparently NewEgg sent it the slowest way possible because it won't get here until next week (in contrast to a huge PC case I ordered on Monday afternoon and had sitting on my porch Tuesday morning.)

Anyways, this keyboard is available at Newegg's main site, in the "e-mail flyer" for $49.99 now. I think that the $44.99 ebay offer is still valid too, so use that one to save $5 if you have an ebay account.
