About to order a Plasma TV and the Panny model I was looking at has the GalleryPlayer feature, looking into it I have to say some of the images they have are really really sweet. This post might best belong in the PC Software section I dunno. I like how the pic comes up and a few seconds later it pops up an info box so you know something about the location or subject of the picture. all the images are 1920x1080, was wondering about other sources with images of this quality, I'm not talking free, I have no problem paying to get extra high quality pics. Any suggestions? GalleryPlayer doesn't allow you to create your own slide shows which sucks, but the TV has a SD slot so I could just pop some images on a card and have the TV run a slide show. What I'd like to find is B&W (any subject) and scenery. I'm probably going to purchace 10 or so images off GalleryPlayer's site, but they are encrypted and you can't do anything with them outside of their player.

I noticed Comcast carries an VOD GalleryPlayer channel, anyone tried it? I can't find any reviews on Google, and Comcast's web site has little info on it. I was wondering how much it costs, and does it let you create custom shows? I'm interested but if it's like 20 bucks a month and doesn't have a good selection of pics or let you customize anything I'd probably stay away.

also this could go in the Software section I guess, but what would be the best bet for creating picture DVD's with sound and similar effects to the GalleryPlayer ones? Where I could press a button and have it jump to another chapter that pops up an info box with information about the picture. I find that pretty cool, the defauly GP is alright but doesn't have sound, I figured I could assemble my own images and create a custom DVD and use for that a slideshow.
