Has anyone heard of a web browser for Linux called Galeon? My friend is raving about it and telling me to try it out. Since I'm at work right now I can't try it out but I was curious as to what everyone else has heard or experienced with it.

I've used it and it's pretty good, but not spectacular. I think it's based on the mozilla stuff and it's packaged as the GNOME browser.

You're right, it is based on Mozilla and packaged as the GNOME browser.

random question:

Why does netscape still exist when opera, mozilla/galeon and konqueror are all all but proven to be better browsers?
