$249 vs. $299.
Not sure of the main difference.
The larger screen 10" is $50 cheaper.

Not sure if this is a major issue with the Tab 10.1 A, but the battery on mine blew out after I was while transferring photos between my iPhone 6 and and the Tab 10.1. It literally just melted inside the Tab case which deformed/expanded.

i have the S2 8 inches. the screen is beautiful. the whole thing is thin and light weight. feels more premium than the A. very fast with everything i do on it so far.

Tab S is much better than Tab A.
I really wish they had stuck to 16:9 though instead of 4:3. I have the original Tab S 8.4 AND the Tab S 10.5. Screens on those are gorgeous, and the best aspect ratio to watch movies and video.

I'll echo the S2, and S series in general. I use an older Tab S 8.4 and those AMOLED screens are GORGEOUS! Nothing comes remotely close in the marketplace, even still today.

I still have my Galaxy Tab S2 in 2022 (almost)
I have barely used it over the years, but dusted it off to read a long PDF book.
Still works great.
